San Francisco Symphony Highlights Young Talent at Annual “Deck the Hall” Celebration

Deck the Hall, San Francisco Symphony’s beloved family holiday tradition, brought the festive spirit to Davies Symphony Hall with two kid-friendly matinee performances on December 8. Conducted by the San Francisco Symphony’s Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, the annual holiday children’s concert featured musical performances from Symphony musicians and special guests, including the San Francisco Boys Chorus and the Young Women’s Choral Projects of San Francisco. The festive show also featured dancers from the San Francisco Ballet Training Program, performing selections from holiday classic The Nutcracker.

The concert ended with a boisterous sing-along, complete with appearances from special holiday guest stars like Rudolph and Santa Claus. The San Francisco Symphony is among the most innovative arts institutions in the US, celebrated for its cutting-edge education and community engagement programs. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Deck the Hall Community Day, which took place on December 9 and invited 3,000 children to this holiday concert free of charge.
