On April 13 Honorary Chair and rock legend Huey Lewis welcomed revelers to the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion for Lifehouse’s signature event and fundraising gala. This year the party raised over $800,000 to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Notable attendees included Lewis, news broadcaster Betty Yu, area chef Heidi Krahling and James Beard award-winning chef Joanne Weir. Festivities started with a dazzling feast of small plates from 25 local chefs, accompanied by libations from 25 world-class California wineries. Guests then headed to the Ballroom for a cheese course provided by ItalFoods and a dessert bar from Blooming Cakes, Fiorello’s Artisan Gelato, Table Culture Provisions, Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co, Woodlands Bakery and Rubicon Bakery. The elegant evening was capped off by an auction, and dancing to a live performance by local party band Pride and Joy SF.
A fabulous time was had by all, in service of Lifehouse’s critical mission to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities, by supporting them with respectful and compassionate care. Since 1954, Lifehouse has provided Bay Area residents with lifelong support and inspiration.
