Neiman Marcus’ chic Union Square event space, Penthouse on 5, came alive on October 8 as acclaimed harpist Bridget Kibbey performed an Olivia Decker Power of Music concert presented by Festival Napa Valley.
Guests enjoyed an elegant Champagne reception hosted by Neiman Marcus, and a concert that previewed Kibbey’s forthcoming album by Pentatone Music, Crossing the Ocean. The program featured music by Paquito d’Rivera, J.S. Bach, Benjamin Britten, Claude Debussy, Franz Schubert, and Kati Agócs. Before each piece, Kibbey shared insightful observations about her work and instrument, giving the event a feeling of warmth and intimacy. Noted tenor Nicholas Phan made a special appearance as part of the performance.
Olivia Decker, Mona Tvass, Christopher Barefoot, Joel Goodrich, Mark Calvano, Hafsa Burt, Hank Mou, Victoria Paarup, Kristen Klehr and Ruby Strayhorn, Sally Yu and Kristin Sorenson brought their harpist-loving daughters, were among the music lovers enjoying the concert. Afterwards, guests were invited to explore Neiman Marcus’ tastefully curated store where they experienced the irresistible sparkle of the just begun holiday shopping season.
