The arrival in San Francisco of Jeanne Hoefliger, Executive Director of the American Friends of the Paris Opera & Ballet prompted a flurry of events, including a luncheon for 36 at the Rotunda at Neiman Marcus hosted by Joel Goodrich. In attendance were some of the leading glitterati of the City’s philanthropic, cultural, social, media, fashion and business worlds- including Jack Calhoun, President of the San Francisco Opera, and Maryam Murudoglu, San Francisco Chief of Protocol. A fascinating presentation by Ms. Hoefliger was one of the highlights of the lunch and could lead to some interesting new cultural exchanges between two of the most beautiful cities in the world.
