August 10th, 2022 saw San Francisco’s who’s who dressed in elegant cocktail attire as they celebrated San Francisco Mayor London Breed’s 48th birthday at Neiman Marcus’ exclusively posh and intimate ‘Penthouse on 5’, hosted by famed party host, Aubrey Brewster (Salonnières “America’s Top 100 Party Hosts” as featured in Town & Country Magazine) and his husband, Dr. Edward Winger.
Guests noshed on delectable hors d’oeuvres especially curated for the occasion by NM’s The Rotunda Executive Chef, Erik Harrelson and sipped on fine wine and French Henriot champagne. And, in typical Aubrey style, a ‘help yourself’ soft-serve ice cream sundae bar featuring Mayor Breed’s favorite flavor, strawberry soft-serve complete with San Francisco’s very own Ghirardelli sundae toppings.
Red dahlias and peonies in silver ceramic vases adorned the tables to compliment Breed’s stunning vermillion and silver silk dress.
Amongst Mayor London Breed’s 70 birthday party-revelers were Brewster’s husband and cohost, Dr. Edward Winger, former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown Jr., California State Controller candidate and former President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors representing Dist. 10, Malia Cohen, ABC7’s Carolyn Tyler (retired), Haute Living San Francisco’s very own Editor-in-Chief, Teresa Rodriguez, Remynt founder and Chair of SFMTA Gwyneth Borden, Union Square Alliance president, Marisa Rodriguez, fashion designer, Vasily Vein, Brenda Wright, socialites, Clara Shayevich, Farah Makras, Navid Armstrong, and Luxury Real Estate Agent (and Bravo’s “A-List San Francisco”), Joel Goodrich; “Aubrey’s level of production value is incredible, always the party of the moment!” Stated Goodrich.
“We were delighted that Aubrey and Ed chose us (Neiman Marcus, SF) as the venue to host the mayor’s birthday soiree; a wonderful evening of old and new friends alike, enjoying Mayor Breed’s company. Aubrey always creates a memorable moment, and I was honored to be invited” said Neiman Marcus SF vice president/general manager Mark Sullivan of the evening.
Aubrey served the mayor and her guests a custom lemon birthday cake with raspberry filling and Swiss-vanilla buttercream encased in marzipan from San Francisco’s iconic bakery Victoria Pastry of North Beach as guests toasted the birthday girl.
