Where the Force Meets Fine Dining: May the 4th at Palace Hotel

On Sunday, May 4th the historic Palace Hotel, celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, invites guests to Star Wars Day with a one-of-a-kind cinematic and culinary experience. As a tribute to its storied legacy of hosting unforgettable gatherings, Palace Hotel will present a special screening of Star Wars: A New Hope beneath the stunning glass dome of its legendary Garden Court.

One of the most breathtaking dining rooms in the country, the landmark Garden Court has welcomed dignitaries, celebrities, and cultural icons for over a century. For this special evening, it will be transformed into a celestial screening room—bringing together cinematic magic and culinary creativity in a setting as timeless as the hotel itself.

For one night only, guests will be transported to a galaxy far, far away with an imaginative yet elevated menu of Star Wars–inspired bites and drinks.

Culinary highlights include truffle parmesan Wookiee Fries with black garlic aioli and spicy ketchup, mini Yoda Avocado Toast Bites with lime crema and crispy shallots, squid ink Death Star Arancini filled with mozzarella, and braised short rib Chewbacca Sliders with cheddar and house-made Wookiee sauce. A harissa-marinated Tatooine Spiced Chicken Skewer, served with preserved lemon yogurt and sumac dust, rounds out the savory offerings.

To accompany the menu, the bar will offer a lineup of themed cocktails and mocktails crafted for the occasion—such as The Jedi Mule, The Dark Side Martini, Baby Yoda Cooler, and Twin Suns Spritz.

Guests are also invited to dress for the occasion, with a prize awarded for best costume. Whether Jedi robes, Sith capes, or something delightfully droid, Star Wars chic is strongly encouraged!

The celebration begins at 8:00 PM. Tickets are priced at $20 per person and include admission to the screening; all food and drink will be available separately à la carte.
