SF Conservatory of Music Teams Up with Joshua Bell for Special Benefit Concert

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) hosted a night to remember on February 26, bringing together internationally renowned stars of the classical music world for one night only. SFCM Presents: An Evening with Academy of St. Martin in the Fields featuring Joshua Bell, was a jam-packed evening of fine dining and fabulous music to benefit SFCM’s student scholarship program. Between a dinner, the concert and a lively afterparty, SFCM offered something for everyone lucky enough to score a ticket.

The festivities got started with a scrumptious spread from McCalls Catering & Events, which included such temptations as caviar-topped halibut, braised beluga lentils and orange scented pot de crème. After the dinner at Barbro Osher Recital Hall concluded, sated guests made their way across the street to Davies Symphony Hall for the night’s main event. The concert showcased SFCM students performing alongside the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, led by legendary violinist and conductor Joshua Bell. Following the concert, Bell, Academy members and guests returned to the SFCM Bowes Center for a festive after party, featuring live music from SFCM Roots Jazz and American Music students and a dance party with DJ D Sharp.

The event raised over $700,000 for SFCM’s scholarship program.
