Gold Bar Whiskey’s Joe Montana Blend No. 273:

Blend No. 273 is a triple-casked American whiskey with a mash bill of corn, rye, and barley, bottled at 82 proof. It is first aged in red wine barrels, then in cognac barrels, and raked over toasted oak staves. It’s rich, with deep fruit, spice, and berry notes.

273 represents Montana’s total career touchdown passes thrown. The bottle design features the 49ers’ 1970s/80s logo and Montana’s signature. The artwork, which portrays Montana’s iconic touchdown celebration in Super Bowl XXIV, was created by a dedicated 49ers superfan and artist Rita Oak.

Gold Bar Whiskey’s Joe Montana Blend No. 117:

Blend No. 117 is dubbed “Number 16” in honor of Montana’s 49ers jersey number and the whiskey’s 16-year aging process. At nearly cask strength (95 proof), Blend No. 117 is a limited-edition whiskey triple-casked in cognac barrels and raked over toasted oak staves. Its profile is complex.  with notes of dried fruit, spice, and apricot.

Gold Bar has taken fan engagement to the next level with a pioneering packaging feature called “The Patch.” Each bottle of the Joe Montana Collection comes with an iron-on patch that features an embedded near-field communication (NFC) chip. When scanned with a smartphone, the patch unlocks exclusive Joe Montana content, including a special video where Montana demonstrates how to make his signature cocktail “The Golden Joe,” a blend of Gold Bar Whiskey, orange juice, lime juice, and ginger beer.
