Ribbon Cutting Celebration at Bella Union Winery in St. Helena, Napa Valley

Bella Union Winery, is Far Niente Wine Estates’ third winery to open its doors along Napa Valley’s Highway 29, featuring inviting, high-design social vignettes, including a floating Jewel Box on its second level with striking mountain and vineyard views, along with unconventional tastings of its inaugural, small-lot wines.

The stylish new property, which joins the famed Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel wineries, is designed to create a beautiful union of people and place, and foster lively conversations, merriment, and unforgettable experiences in the heart of Napa Valley.

An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held at Bella Union Winery on September 3rd. Those in attendance included United States Congressman Mike Thompson, California State Senator Bill Dodd, Far Niente Wine Estates proprietress Beth Nickel (who founded Far Niente with her late husband Gil Nickel in 1979), Far Niente Wine Estates Chief Executive Officer Steve Spadarotto and Bella Union Winemaker Brooke Bobyak Price.

The sunny afternoon featured remarks from Beth Nickel and Steve Spadarotto, a presentation of certificates from Congressman Mike Thompson and Senator Bill Dodd marking this momentous occasion and state-of-the-art winery, a celebratory cake cutting, and ceremonious ribbon cutting, which was led by two of Far Niente’s longest term employees, brothers Juan and Roberto Perez, each Cellar Masters with 25 years of experience. Guests were then welcomed to explore the venue while enjoying Bella Union’s exquisite small-lot wines along the way.
