With a record-breaking $3.56 million raised and more than 400 guests in attendance, the event featured Governor Gavin Newsom, Congressman Mike Thompson, singer Elle King, an incredible wine reception, the Science & Innovation Symposium, and the Annual Rising Star Awards.
The 30th Annual One Mind Music Festival for Brain Health combined science, philanthropy, and entertainment to celebrate 30 years of mental health innovation.
Proceeds from the event support One Mind™, a nonprofit founded by the Staglin family to drive visionary change in brain health. Their impactful programs include the One Mind Rising Star Awards, One Mind Accelerator, and One Mind at Work.
Governor Gavin Newsom congratulated the Staglin family on their advocacy and leadership in the mental health space.
“In just 30 years, One Mind has been a driving force behind many of the milestones in the mental health field,” said Governor Newsom.
Congressman Mike Thompson, highlighted the essential role the Staglin family and One Mind have played in advancing mental health research.
“One Mind has raised millions of dollars, fueling research and innovation that touches people in every community across the country,” said Congressman Thompson. “It’s so difficult to fund these types of research projects. It if weren’t for the Staglins and One Mind, we would be light-years behind.
In its long history, One Mind has made significant contributions to scientific advancements, funding 48 pioneering scholars, supporting the launch of 21 mental health startups, and partnering with over 150 global companies to enhance workplace mental health.
“We have made tremendous strides to reduce stigma and develop breakthroughs to empower people facing mental illness to thrive,”said Brandon Staglin, Co-Founder and Chief Advocacy and Engagement Officer of One Mind.
The festival culminated in a special performance by Elle King, a passionate mental health advocate. The concert, supported by JaM Cellars, was a highlight of the evening.
Guests also enjoyed a renowned wine-tasting reception sponsored by Lewis Cellars, showcasing over 70 premier Napa Valley vintners. Two-time James Beard Award-winning chef Paul Bartolotta curated an exquisite four-course VIP dinner served after the concert.
