The Museum of Craft and Design (MCD) celebrated its 20th Anniversary on November 22 with XERO Club, an evening of intrigue and elegance at San Francisco’s Saint Joseph’s Arts Society. The party, inspired by Prohibition-era speakeasies and the 007 movie Casino Royale, saw guests dressed to the nines for a night filled with games of skill and luck, a curated silent auction, bespoke cocktails and delicious culinary temptations by Jessica Lasky Catering. Some guests even got crafty with special design-themed glass etching and leather stamping activities.
XERO Club extended into the night as guests danced to the visionary electronic music of Rob Garza in a special GARZA of Thievery Corporation DJ Set during the XERO Club After Party. Each year, MCD hosts a gala to benefit its many exhibitions and public programs. MCD explores the creative process and current perspectives in craft and design through inspired exhibitions and experiential programs.
