San Francisco’s Root Division, a visual arts non-profit, supports a community network of arts education, exhibitions and artist studios. This year, the organization held its 23rd Annual Art Auction to benefit its important work supporting emerging artists in our community with necessities of the artistic life like low-cost studio space.
Root Division’s friends and patrons met in a spectacular celebration of art on October 24, with over 180 talented artists showcasing their vibrant works. The energy in the room built as attendees eagerly bid on the original pieces, contributing to a total haul that exceeded $175,000 in art sales alone. The enthusiastic bidders felt a sense of camaraderie and spirited competition, all in support of Root Division’s mission. Across ticket sales, host packages and items in both the silent and live auctions, the organization raised over $265,000.
