On September 21 SF Parks Alliance hosted this year’s Party for the Parks at San Francisco’s newest park, China Basin, a beautiful spot with a waterfront view overlooking Oracle Park. The elegant night time picnic was one of the coolest parties of the summer, with guests turning up in cocktail attire to sip Aperol spritzes and feast on an array of luscious bites.
Party for the Parks is the premier fundraiser for San Francisco parks and public spaces. The city’s parks system–one of the best in the country–is worthy of celebration, and guests were more than happy to raise a glass in its honor. Over 300 park supporters and local VIPs turned out for the event. An open-air cocktail reception got things started, with a live dj and an auction to follow.
Notable attendees included SF Parks Alliance CEO Drew Becher, SF Parks Alliance Board chair Louise Mozingo, SF Parks Alliance Board members and event co-chairs Lateefah Gainey Baxter and Kelly Nice, as well as event co-chairs Jaclyn Gallo, Kathryn Mullens and Rachel Topham. This year’s Party for the Parks helped raise more than $630,000, all to benefit our city’s beautiful green spaces.
