Art of Food & Wine benefit Raises Funds for Area Art Initiatives

On September 8, Montalvo Arts Center transformed the historic villa and grounds into a food and wine lover’s paradise. While overlooking the expansive green lawns, guests sampled savory and sweet fare from over 25 of the most celebrated restaurants in the Bay Area–including San Francisco’s Greens, Le Papillon Restaurant in Saratoga and Nobu Palo Alto–and enjoyed tastings from more than 30 of the region’s finest wineries, all in the charming, picturesque setting of Montalvo.

Guests also bid on exciting auction items like exclusive wine lots and unique experience packages, including a private dinner for 10 at Andrew Geoffrey Vineyards, Kanzler Vineyards and one-of-a-kind artworks. VIPs on hand for the event included Dan and Charmaine Warmenhoven, Paul and Libby Conrado, one of Montalvo’s Magnum Sponsors in their first year David and Lori Hsieh and long time Magnum Sponsor and supporter of the event Mark John Bluth.

This year, the Art of Food & Wine event raised over $650,000 which funds the tremendous work to support artists in the Sally and Don Lucas Artist Residency, to inspire children and youth through arts education, to welcome audiences to performances, exhibitions and theater programs and to ensure that this beautiful 175-acre historic property exists for the community to enjoy for generations to come.
