San Francisco Opera Benefactors Celebrate the 2024-25 Season

181 Fremont’s gorgeous Gallery 181 recently hosted a party for some very special guests of the San Francisco Opera. On August 29 some of the Opera’s most generous benefactors enjoyed a VIP party to celebrate their role in bringing this year’s season-opening Opera Ball to life. On September 6, the Ball  introduced the 2024-25 season with a gala, and the opening night performance of Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera.

Guests included Opera Guild Executive Director Susan Malott, Fred Levin, Dr. Barbara Finck, Claire & Jared Bobrow, Jerry & Thao Dodson, Emely & Ron Weissman, and more who watched the sun set over the Pacific Ocean from high on the 69th level of 181 Fremont. They enjoyed the venue’s spectacular city views and enjoyed caviar and sushi while learning from San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock about the upcoming SF Opera season this fall. The celebration kicked off with a welcome from Jay Paul Company’s Chief Investment Officer, Matt Lituchy, to honor the chairs of this year’s September 6 gala, Romana D. Bracco and Valerie Crane Dorfman.

The proceeds raised by this year’s Opera Ball help fund artistic and community initiatives.
