Unwind in newly remodeled rooms

The resort recently remodeled its 60 rooms and suites. Even the most basic rooms have private decks, gas fireplaces and many other amenities. Many have ocean views. Large oceanfront cottages provide even more space to enjoy the scenery.

“Our inspiration is for guests to feel like they are at their very own coastal, laidback luxury home-away-from-home,” said The Sanctuary Beach Resort General Manager Sylvain Briens. “Every room was carefully designed to include coastal elements and serene coastal colorings, making our guests feel like each of their rooms flows seamlessly from the inside to the outside. We also worked diligently to include local artists and artisans in everything from the walnut cabinets to the one-of-a-kind art on the walls.”

On Friday nights, you can catch Dr. Tamas Marius and his jazz band from 6:30 to 9:30. After dinner and music, take a short walk to the beach and relax by a bonfire.

Sustainability

The resort is committed to creating a sustainable environment, which is evident throughout the grounds.

“The Sanctuary Beach Resort is an environmentally conscious green hotel, and we take many steps to preserve the beauty,” said Briens. “We are heavily involved with our local landscape partner to protect and reintroduce indigenous herbs, plants, and flowers on the property. We also use energy-efficient lighting, biodegradable packaging and non-toxic cleaning products throughout the resort to keep emissions—and our impact on the surrounding Marina Dunes Preserve—at a minimum.”
