On May 9, guests gathered in the penthouse suites on the 56th floor of The Avery luxury condominiums in San Francisco to sip fine Napa Valley wines and experience an intimate performance by Solidaire Trio. Presented by Festival Napa Valley in partnership with The Avery, the event was part of the year-round Olivia Decker Power of Music Series.
Solidaire Trio, comprised of flutist Jennifer Grim, percussionist Svet Stoyanov and cellist Jeffrey Zeigler — and noted as the first and only flute, cello and percussion ensemble — performed the West Coast debut of their musical setlist in the beautifully staged space, complete with breathtaking views of the Bay and downtown San Francisco.
With the setting sun and glimmering bay as the backdrop, Solidaire Trio’s performance of contemporary classical compositions enchanted the audience and drew enthusiastic applause.
Blackbird Vineyards poured a wonderfully paired selection of their white wines as well as their acclaimed rosé, bringing a welcomed taste of Napa in classic Festival style.
Guests included Olivia Decker, Mona Tavss, Robbin Mashbein and Steve Lipton, Tammy and Julien Wetterwald, Sumeeta and Ronnie Vasishta, Blackbird Vineyards vintner Michael Polenske and Elizabeth Naughton Moore, and Related California’s Brittany Noris and Derec Laci.
Solidaire will perform during Festival Napa Valley’s Summer Season at CIA at Copia, Monday, July 15th at 11:00 a.m. Reservations for this admission-free event can be made via festivalnapavalley.org.
