Nonprofit organization Reproductive Freedom for All, formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America, held their 29th annual San Francisco Power of Choice event on March 21. Convened by the San Francisco Leadership Council with event founder Dagmar Dolby and Chair Nonie Greene, the luncheon featured a welcome video from Vice President Kamala Harris and a keynote address by Reproductive Freedom for All President & CEO Mini Timmaraju.
This year’s event welcomed over 500 attendees and raised upward of $1.4 million in support of Reproductive Freedom for All’s mission. In addition to the luncheon and keynote, guests enjoyed a discussion panel featuring Rakim Brooks, President of Alliance for Justice, and Dr. Michele Goodwin, an author and thought leader in reproductive rights and justice. Notable attendees included San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu, Gail Glasser, Beth Grossman, Cissie Swig and Summer Tompkins Walker.
For over 50 years, Reproductive Freedom for All and its members have helped lead the national charge to protect and advance reproductive freedom through grassroots organizing, electoral change, and political advocacy. Funds raised at this year’s event will support this critical work.
