On Thursday, February 29th, 2024, The Ambassadors for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford hosted their 16th Annual Lunch & Learn featuring Emmy Award®-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling memoirist Suleika Jaouad.
Together, 260 attendees and 17 generous sponsors raised $410,000 (and counting!) for the Stanford Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program. The one-of-a-kind program provides personalized, age-appropriate services and holistic care for teens and young adults with cancer, from mental health support to fertility counseling and social connections.
It’s an area that is especially close to event speaker Jaouad’s heart—her memoir, Between Two Kingdoms, chronicles the loneliness of her own leukemia diagnosis at age 22 and the community who helped her find her way during that time.
Ambassadors for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford is an impact-driven donor program that leverages the vision, talent, and passion of its members to benefit the thousands of children, families, and expectant mothers cared for at Packard Children’s.
