On Friday, October 6, 2023, supporters of the San Mateo County Health Foundation gathered together at the Show Up for Breast Cancer Gala at the historic CAROLANDS Chateau in Hillsborough to raise funds for San Mateo County’s only public hospital. Attended by San Mateo County Board of Supervisors David Canepa and Noelia Corzo, local foundations, community leaders, and San Mateo County residents including two of its founding members, Margaret Taylor and Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, the Foundation raised almost $1.2M for San Mateo Medical Center’s mammography program. They set out to raise $1.7M to support the hospital’s 3D technology upgrade and purchase a mobile mammography van to service the community, but with $600,000 short, community members can still help the Foundation reach their goal – please consider donating at www.smchf.org.
