San Francisco Opera Guild held its Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023, in the stunning Golden Gate Room at The Westin St. Francis Hotel. The event featured welcome remarks by Courtney Labe, President of the San Francisco Opera Guild Board, as well as a captivating speech delivered by Jack Calhoun, President of the San Francisco Opera Association. Guests were then treated to a delightful luncheon by the Westin St. Francis catering amidst décor by J. Riccardo Benavides Event Styling. In recognition of his outstanding support of San Francisco Opera Guild and his remarkable work as an event stylist, J. Riccardo Benavides was honored with the prestigious Star of Excellence Award. Additionally, the event paid tribute to Maryam Muduroglu, Past President of San Francisco Opera Guild, with a Proclamation from Mayor London Breed announcing September 19 as Maryam Muduroglu Day in San Francisco, and special recognitions for her tireless dedication and leadership.
