On September 6th, dignitaries, arts leaders, and special guests gathered at the American Conservatory Theater’s Toni Rembe Theater for the world premiere opening night of HIPPEST TRIP – THE SOUL TRAIN MUSICAL. The Broadway-bound musical is based on the iconic TV show that brought Black music, dance, and style into every living room in America. Guests included Ahmir K. Thompson, Blair Underwood, Colman Domingo, W. Kamau Bell, Tony Cornelius, Loni Love, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Ryan Coogler, Delroy Lindo, and San Francisco Mayor London Breed.
